Our (Senior) SkinCare Product Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the SkinCare product portfolio in line with the SkinCare Strategy (including the Next Generation Portfolio). The goal of the role is to ensure and continuously develop a clearly structured, market-relevant, differentiated, and economically attractive portfolio.
Working closely with the Marketing Managers, the (Senior) SkinCare Product Manager aligns the portfolio with market-, brand-, and industry-specific requirements. At the same time, the role serves as the central interface with Product Development, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to systematically evaluate, prioritize, and implement product initiatives, portfolio decisions, and customer-specific requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic and operational portfolio management of the SkinCare product portfolio in line with the SkinCare Strategy; continuous analysis, evaluation, and further development of the portfolio with regard to market attractiveness, differentiation, profitability, complexity, and future viability
- Ensuring a clear portfolio architecture, sensible product segmentation, and rigorous prioritization; identifying portfolio gaps, areas for innovation, opportunities for optimization, and consolidation needs
- Evaluation and prioritization of product ideas, product modifications, innovation initiatives, and customer-specific requirements
- Alignment of the portfolio with market-, brand-, and industry-relevant requirements in close collaboration with the respective marketing managers
- Close collaboration with Product Development, R&D, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to assess feasibility, implementability, and impact on the portfolio
- Active internal stakeholder management to coordinate priorities, decision-making needs, and implementation progress; assuming project leadership for selected portfolio, product, and customized projects
- Structured project management, including status tracking, task coordination, and ensuring documentation using project management tools, particularly Wrike
- Ensuring consistent product data, product documentation, product lists, recipe/formulation information, and training content
- Providing technical support to marketing, sales, and management through portfolio-, product-, and application-related analyses, decision-making frameworks, and recommendations
- Contributing to portfolio quality, product mix, launch success, margins, reduced complexity, and sustainable competitiveness
